Insight Racing is returning to international racing

Insight Racing Denmark is back on the international stage after a year’s absence. This year, we will compete in selected races in the 24H Series endurance events, kicking off our season this weekend at the french circuit, Paul Ricard.

Having previously raced in GT Racing, Insight Racing has now made the move to the very promising TCR cars – a class of cars which can easily run in shorter sprint races as well as endurance racing, of which we will do the latter.

The youngest endurance driver in the world

The lineup at Insight Racing Denmark hosts a good mix of experienced drivers along with fresh and very quick talents.
Young and talented are two describing words that fit perfectly with the 16 year old norwegian, Marcus Påverud. Having done a brilliant job in the scandinavian race series Citroën DS3 Cup in previous seasons, 2017 marks the all-important leap into international racing for the norwegian. This is also set to make Marcus Påverud one of the youngest endurance drivers ever – if not the youngest.

Marcus Påverud is set to make his debut in endurance racing with Insight Racing this weekend.

Marcus is joined by the swedish touringcar racer, Joakim “Jocke” Frid, his danish colleague from the Danish Thundersport Championship, Frederik Schandorff and Insight Racing team owner, Martin Jensen.

Joakim has competed for years in the Swedish Touring Car Championship, while Frederik Schandorff has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with in the Danish Thundersport Championship. Now, Schandorff is here to take on a very different challenge, let alone a very different race car in the shape of the Insight Racing Honda Civic TCR.

Team owner Martin Jensen is still active behind the wheel as well, bringing in lots of experience from a long career racing all over the world.

Happy to be back on the international scene:

Team principal Martin Jensen is honored to see his team returning to international racing:
– We are really happy to be back. We are feeling very privileged to do it with such a strong lineup, presenting some of the best Scandinavian talents. None of this would have happened, had it not been for our amazing sponsors and supporters. I would like to thank everyone involved, especially my mechanics at Insight Racing – they have done an amazing job. See you all in France!
